Working for black chateau enterprises
When I joined Black Château, I was excited to combine my interest in PR and social media. I got to be part of a small team that ran a Webby award-winning newsletter and organized The BookFest. I created content, helped plan campaigns, and worked with influencers to support authors.
This experience showed me how important branding is—and how authors and businesses can tell their stories in ways that feel real and meaningful.
the bookfest
At The BookFest, I made content for this amazing event focused on community connection. It was a thrill to connect to famous authors like James Dashner, Deborah M. Pratt, and Josh Malerman. Their presence added so much energy and made the literary scene truly special!
Finding influencers for authors
At Black Château, I helped match authors with BookTok and Bookstagram creators. For William Bernhardt’s campaign, I looked for influencers who fit his book’s themes and tone, wrote briefs to guide the posts, and kept track of how the campaign performed.
Working with the team taught me how to find the right voices for different audiences and how creators can bring books to life through personal storytelling.
content creation for authors
Creating social media posts for authors was one of my favorite parts of the job. Most of the content was shared on Meta platforms, which sometimes made it tricky to find fresh angles.
Still, I found ideas by reading the books, following interviews organized by teammates, and staying up to date with news and trends. It was a creative challenge—and a great way to support authors and connect with readers.
