preemie c me x worth parternship project
Our idea came from a personal experience: my business partner's friend couldn't find clothing for her premature baby. In our research, we discovered a significant market gap. With 7,000 babies born prematurely in Sweden alone, the need for our project is undeniable.
DESIGN PROCESS
As the technical design lead, I incorporated input from preemie parents and neonatal nurses to create our garments. They feature strategically placed holes and patented baby-soft Velcro and are easy to use in hospitals. Parents can bond visually, and skin-to-skin contact is facilitated without removing the entire garment.
FABRICATION AND PRINT
Our garments feature unique designs and prints and are environmentally innovative. Made from natural Chitosan fabric and bamboo, they are allergy-friendly and fully recyclable. We also plan to collaborate with the SAPMI Tribe for beautiful prints.
Challenges
Partnering with Rapife in Spain, we faced challenges sourcing materials and balancing affordability with exclusivity. Despite hurdles, our eco-friendly garment shows promise. We're dedicated to supporting premature babies globally through continuous improvement and passionate collaborations.
THE RESULT
Our project ended up getting quite a bit of press, especially on Fuorisalone.it and the Worth Partnership website. It was really nice to see our small project making a meaningful impact.
